Well that’s all I got for today. It was my first day back at work today after the gall bladder incident so it was pretty rough getting back into the routine! Especially after all the excitement of yesterday. I’m pooped! LOL! But I’m feeling a lot better, so thanks to everyone for all the well wishes and g.b. related advice!

These things are so much fun! Tons of possibilities! I originally made them thinking they would appeal mostly to quirks because they are so great for things like ATC’s or altered art projects. But I was so excited to see that many of the Celebrity Models used them in their regular layouts too! Whew! What a month this has been! I have worked so hard to prepare for this day! My eyeballs are shrivelled up and falling out of their sockets from computer strain and my wrists are on fire with carpel tunnel but I enjoyed every single moment of it! LOL! I think that’s what has surprised me the most in this entire process. I didn’t realize how much I would LOVE designing! I was so scared in the begining and unsure of myself. But thanks to Maya’s [overwhelming and neverending] support and also that of my buddies and fellow Crew members I feel like I’ve found my legs and I’m ready to step out into this crazy business.

Alright, when I start to wax poetic that’s a sure sign it’s time to end a post LOL! But before you go, don’t forget about my SALE!!!

If that sounds like a horror movie title, well it’s appropriate. Because yesterday I felt like I was in the worst horror movie ever created.

I won’t bore (or disgust) you with the gory details of my troubled digestive system but long story short: I had a gall bladder attack.

It was hands-down the most excruciating pain I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t talk. I could barely move. The pangs were so sharp it literally took my breath away. I have had friends who’ve experienced this and who are also mothers tell me that the gall bladder pain is actually worse than childbirth! So that should give you an idea! LOL!

Anyway I have an appointment for an ultrasound in a few weeks so I guess that will determine if I have stones or not, and from there it’s a matter of whether surgery is necessary or not. So we’ll see what happens . . . I’m supposed to be on a liquid diet for 24 hours to give my gall bladder a break but that went out the window, oh, about 30 minutes after I got home from the doctor! I have reactive hypoglycemia so not eating is really not an option for me. I’m trying really hard not to eat the protein rich foods I normally do (like eggs, nuts, cheese, meats) since they are what cause attacks but eating carbs all day has sent my blood sugar on a roller coaster and I have been in a complete brain fog all day. Really useful mindframe to be in when you are trying to write product descriptions for your grand opening in TWO DAYS or trying to write a cover letter for a job application you have to hand in TOMORROW!

Don’t you just love how life throws these things at you at the WORST possible time!? Like I don’t have enough on my plate right now!?

Ugh . . .sorry for the rant but I just had to get that out of my system. Low blood sugar leaves me in an irate, restless, moody state and I’m all alone in the apartment so I have no one else to take it out on LOL!

Here’s hoping I’ll be back in a few days in a much better mood! Cuz there’s a party going on Wednesday I do NOT intend to miss out on! I hope you’ll join me at ScrapbookGraphics for my debut! There’s a little something in it for you if you do

 I have every intention of printing out all their layouts into a Shutterfly album and then doing a circle journal type mailing thing so they can all autograph their layouts for me

 Honestly though it is SO gracious of them to participate in this. I’m sure they are all very busy ladies. AND none of them know me from Adam.  AND they agreed to this without having seen any of my designs! They have no clue what the heck they signed on for! LOL! That takes guts! But mostly it takes a kind heart and for that I am so grateful! I will have to think of a way to thank them . . .

Well that’s it from me tonight . .. I think I’m getting a cold . ..not in a very good mood . .. and now I’m gonna go watch LOST which is prolly gonna put me in a worse mood. I just want to reach into the screen and smack John Locke upside the head!!! And if Sanjaya doesn’t get kicked off American Idol tonight, well then that will be the final straw!

(sidebar: speaking of AI, did anyone else laugh hysterically at that poor little girl in the audience who kept crying and making faces!? looked like she was having a nervous breakdown for pete’s sake! LOL!)

Well for someone who was excited to share a secret I sure wasn’t quick on the ball to reveal it! LOL! This news was made public last Sunday but I’ve been so busy I haven’t even had a chance to come and share it here. So now . . .the moment you’ve all been waiting for (yeah right! LOL!)

I’m not a full-fledged Studio Girl just yet however. I’m an intern! Maya has chosen 3 designers (myself, Berna Datema and Theres Kubitz) to participate in a 3-month internship program at SBG. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this opportunity. Starting out in this business can be pretty scary so having this support system behind me has meant the world. Here’s what Maya had to say about us in last week’s Studio Skinny:

 These designers are very talented and for the most part very new.  While new, these designers really struck me as having a very distinct style to call their own..  They may be a little shaky in the knees but it is our goal to help them build the confidence that matches their obvious ability.  Trust me when I say that you can expect some really great things from this group.

So keep an eye out for our new Studio Interns…

Michelle Godin – Meesha is near and dear to my heart.  Besides being a fellow Canadian, she is also Studio Crew member.  I am quite certain Michelle’s warm designs will capture every quirky heart out there. 

Our big debut is going to be March 28th so mark your calendars because Maya is cooking up something BIG! There’s gonna be all kinds of fun stuff happening at the site so you will definitely want to stop by!

I’ve been working my eyeballs off making products.  I wish I could show you cuz I’m so excited about it all . .. here are just a few teenie weenie sneaky peeks:

So far I’ve got like 9 things done and uploaded into the store already and I’ve got 4 or 5 more things on the go! I just have so many ideas and not enough time to work on them! Darn that pesky day job!
