. . .and I am an addict.

I discovered digital scrapbooking in October 2005 and it has consumed my life ever since!

Joking aside, the discovery really did have a considerable impact on my life. It unleashed a wellspring of creative energy in me that had been buried and forgotten since highschool. I had attempted paper scrapping for a few years prior but my impatience, perfectionism and inability to cut a piece of paper in a straight line combined to make it a very limiting and painful process for me! Two things that art should never be! I enjoy the digital format because it removes those barriers. I can spend my time focusing on the creative process while Photoshop takes care of the hard stuff (like cutting perfectly straight lines! )

As for my life outside of scrapping . . . hmm, let’s see . . . I have a B.A. in History and a day job cataloguing artifacts at a national museum. I love to travel. I spent 3 weeks in Europe a few years ago and I’m aching to go back! But I’ve also driven from one end to the other of this great country of mine (Canada!) and I do love me a good road trip.  I am hooked on the tv shows LOST and The Office and I like watching my cancelled faves Arrested Development and Firefly on DVD.  I’m really good at word games. I can’t eat any sugar or junk food. I am an Aquarius. I get nightmares if I watch scary movies . .. is that enough randomness for you?
